A Little History
Vinotecca opened its doors at Royal Oak’s 417 S. Main Street in 2007, simultaneously opening up a world of wonder when it comes to exploring wine and food inspired from all corners of the globe. The intimate establishment blends a sprawling wine bar with bistro tables, booths where parties mingle and corners where couples hide away. Focused on wine-friendly world cuisine, the dishes range from shareable small plates to elegant but unpretentious, inspired entrees. Each pairs perfectly with wines by the glass or bottle. Vinotecca has earned the distinction of Best Wine Bar by readers of Hour Detroit magazine consistently since 2006. Vinotecca also received Hour’s award for Best Wine List in 2011, and the award for Best Wine Bar in Real Detroit Weekly and the Metro Times in 2009, 2010 and 2011.
